African Friendship Society presents: Africa with the Masters is a weekend festival
In celebration of BC Culture Days, African artists and knowledge-keepers gather to share their culture with you! Hosted by the African Friendship Society, Africa with the Masters is a weekend festival for everyone. Join us for a Senegalese meal, FREE activities and lively workshops in drum and dance from September 30 to October 2, 2022.

African Village Night – 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm
7 pm – Doors open
7:30 pm – Land acknowledgement and blessings
7:45 pm – Dinner (with soft music by Kurai Mubaiwa)
8:15 pm – Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony

11 am – The story of Zoe with Uncle Makosso
12:15 pm – Nuru (NTA) kids and youth group perform
1 pm – Songs and games from Swahili culture
2:15 pm – South African rhythms with Munkie Ncapayi
3:30 pm – SOA kids demo performance

*Djembes will be available to rent @ $5
